The Trail of 100 Giants is an unforgettable experience. This beautiful trail is located in the southern Sierra Nevada Mountains. It is known for its stunning giant sequoia trees, highlighting some of California‘s best natural views. You can look forward to relaxation at Rankin Ranch when you are nearing the trail’s end. We are close to the trail and offer a variety of ways to relax and reflex on your adventure along the Trail of 100 Giants.
Try Hiking Our Trails
Rankin Ranch covers acres of beautiful nature with outstanding groomed hiking trails. A popular hike for many guests is to “Gossip Rock” down Walker Basin Creek. We can provide a sack lunch for your picnic and hike. Just swing by the front office the previous evening, and we can prepare it beforehand.
Fish Or Lounge On Lake Julia
We also have a stocked pond on the Ranch called Lake Julia. Anglers of any age are usually successful with catching a Rainbow Trout. We ask that you only catch what you plan to eat. If you want to eat your catch, clean it, and bring it back to our kitchen staff, and they’ll cook it for you during your stay.
Evenings in Walker’s Basin
If you want to relax after hiking the Trail of 100 Giants, the Ranch is the best place. Try an evening stroll along our country road. Another favorite early evening activity is visiting Sarah’s Farm. Children delight in bottle feeding a little calf and watching the chickens search and peck the ground. Getting away from the city limits opens the sky up. Laying out on the ground and star gazing is another thing you will remember from your adventure.
