Our community is small but mighty and we want to support local education! The Caliente Union School District has provided elementary education in our community for decades. The district now consists of one elementary school, Piute Mountain School, which serves the Walker Basin and Twin Oaks communities. In 1983 the Caliente Educational Foundation was established to support the school district.
The Educational Foundation has hosted a Ranch Rodeo (formerly Team Penning) as their annual fundraiser for many years over the Labor Day Weekend. Our area is experiencing a heat wave and unfortunately they have no choice but to postpone the event for the safety of the livestock and the participants. They plan to reschedule, but we want to help by having a “mini-fundraiser” this weekend to help raise some much needed funds.
Our family is grateful for all that the Caliente Educational Foundation does to support local education and we hope you will join us in supporting them. This weekend only (September 1 – 4, 2017) when you buy Ground Beef from Rankin Ranch we will donate 1/2 of your purchase directly to the Caliente Educational Foundation. Our goal is to raise $250! We hope that you will help us surpass this goal. Every penny counts to support the students at our local school.
Our ground beef is conveniently packaged in one pound packages and sells for $7/lb. Please make plans to stop by the ranch…23500 Walker Basin Road. Pull in the driveway at the old ranch house on the corner of Walker Basin Road and Caliente Bodfish Road. It is a win-win…you get to enjoy delicious beef while supporting the education of the next generation.
Rankin Ranch Open for Beef Sales : Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
