How Do I Get The Full Ranch Experience?
Everyone comes and goes at their own pace, but if you want to see it all, there are some things you can’t miss.
At the top of the list is horseback riding. Whether you’ve been horseback riding or not, we look forward to guiding you through our mountains and meadows to beautiful vantage points. The best way to see it is horseback.
Don’t leave your bikes behind! We provide quiet country roads that are ideal for bicycle rides. For a short ride, head down to the Rankin Family Cemetery, approximately one mile down a flat country road. Or continue on the seven-mile circle around our little valley. For the more adventurous, you can tackle mountain biking on Breckenridge Mountain or road cycling to Caliente (The Lion’s Trail), Lake Isabella, or Twin Oaks.
We have an excellent spot for fishing on the Ranch if you want some solitude. Lake Julia is a small pond stocked with rainbow trout. As a special treat, you can clean your catch and then give it to our kitchen staff, who’ll cook it for you for dinner.
You should also experience the swimming pool, relaxing under the stars, the recreation room, lawn sports, family dinners, socializing over breakfast, and the children can enjoy seasonal programming.
